Australian Breast Cancer Research (ABCR) is always inspired by those who give up their own time to raise vital funds in the fight against breast cancer.

Below is a spotlight on some incredible people who recently hosted a fundraiser, with 100% of their donation going directly to research and patient care.

Fundraising Virtually Through Online Gaming

Roachzila

A big thank you to the Breast Cancer is Bad Stream Team who raised an incredible $6,672 for ABCR! Online gaming streamer ‘Roach’ decided to raise funds for women who battle this disease through Twitch, a world leading live streaming platform for gamers, during the month of February.

 International Women’s Day Fundraiser

Victorian Mexican restaurant Naughty Norman rallied together to raise $2,000 towards ABCR! They raised funds for International Women’s Day by holding raffle amongst their customers!

School Bake Sale

Isabelle – Bake Sale fundraiser

Eight-year-old Isabelle wanted to raise funds for breast cancer research following her mother’s recent breast cancer diagnosis. She says she didn’t want other mums to get sick like hers.

She organised a bake sale at her school and collected donations from students as well as her extended family in the United Kingdom and raised an incredible $2,151!

ABCR is grateful to all our supporters and community fundraisers who have joined the fight against breast cancer. If you’re interested in hosting your own fundraiser for breast cancer research, email our friendly team at [email protected] or call (08) 8445 2453!
