Hair raising support for breast cancer research

Charlton Christian College fundraiser

In a powerful show of support, four boys from a New South Wales school bravely shaved their heads to raise an incredible $6,384 for breast cancer research!

Marcus Manev, Jacob Ashley-Brown, Jace Grainger and Isaiah Heuston decided to raise funds in support of Isaiah’s mother who is currently battling the disease.

“We’ve always respected and loved the women in our lives and all the work and effort they put into us,” the boys said, who attend Charlton Christian College.

“Our mums are always the first to hear our problems and care for us. We couldn’t imagine life without them so doing this came from the love we have for them.

“We don’t want anyone to live without a mum – we believe all mothers and females deserve a long and beautiful life.”

Everyone from the school community dug deep for the boys.

“This fundraiser has shown us the caring nature of our school community and their willingness to put others before themselves and support this fundraiser,” they said.

“We did this to raise awareness for this disease and provide support to all the women in this world. Mothers have a profound significance on their children and we know how much they are loved and needed.”
