Over $520,000 raised on Giving Day!

Together, as part of The Hospital Research Foundation Group, we raised $520,517 to improve healthcare and patient services in our community. 

Staff, volunteers and ambassadors jumped on the phones to ask our generous supporters for donations!

On Thursday 1 June, our community came together over 12 hours to raise essential funds to save and change lives in Australia!

Throughout Giving Day, our staff, volunteers and ambassadors joined in on the fun at our Woodville office by jumping on the phones to call on their friends, family, colleagues and our community to join the fight against disease and illness, including breast cancer. 

Thanks to a generous group of supporters, we were able to double every donation! 

As part of the Group, Australian Breast Cancer Research joined Giving Day to raise crucial funds to advance the new Bragg Comprehensive Cancer Centre (BCCC) in Adelaide, which will help transform cancer research, patient care, clinical trials, support, and preventative measures for people fighting cancer around Australia, including breast cancer. 

Thanks to your support on Giving Day, we can transform breast cancer care through the new Bragg Comprehensive Cancer Centre.

The Bragg Comprehensive Cancer Centre will improve cancer care coordination for patients, to help them navigate the complex patient pathways that come after a diagnosis.

Australia’s leading oncologists, radiation therapists, researchers, nurses, and cutting-edge technologies will all work together on-site, to improve and save more lives from breast cancer. 

As many people fighting breast cancer know, the pain, rehabilitation and surgeries don’t always stop when the treatment stops. Clinicians at the Centre will also be able to provide improved support to cancer survivors. 

Once open, the Centre’s hard-working healthcare professionals will need our support – which is where Giving Day comes in! 

Thanks to your support and those of our gift-matchers, we can continue to transform cancer care after we smashed our target of $450,000 and raised 115% of our goal, receiving 1836 donations.
